Experts in Female Longevity
Longevity is a topic which has generated recent buzz.
We toast the way this spotlights preventative health at midlife. However, the research most quoted has been primarily performed on men and often lacks nuance.
Women are NOT... small men.
At Gingko, perpetuating HEALTHSPAN is a core value. This is distinct from simply targeting lifespan. In the US, most women spend their final decade in poor health, the majority unable to live independently. This is not a foregone conclusion; development of personalized plans for a woman midlife is a most powerful lever in securing her sustained vitality.
Women have unique strengths and vulnerabilities physiologically.
Actions we take at midlife are hugely impactful for retaining cognition, reducing fragility, improving vascular health and reducing inflammation. Targeting these areas with female physiology in mind can net ongoing dividends in sustained ways. This concept is central to our woman-centric mid-life care.
Introducing Functional medicine Health coaching
We often ask patients to overhaul aspects of their lifestyle, targeting nutrition, movement practices and recovery practices. However, implementation is a key step in making those prescriptions fit to each woman's busy life. Julie's work is intended to get granule with patients, taking an inventory of goals, our clinical prescriptions and marrying those with her lifestyle. Schedule a 30 minute visit with Julie to practically consider how to develop and employ new habits which encourage lasting well-being. She is seeing patients via telehealth now. Book here
Expert panel discussion at The Longevity Collective
Alyssa and I have been invited to join a cohort of midlife women for an engaging panel discussion. The emphasis is a dynamic dialog- responding to women's Q & A on thriving at this stage of life. The Longevity Collective (in Fairfax) is a special setting with various state-of-the-art recovery tools. From red light bed therapy, cold plunge/sauna rooms, vibration plates and PEMF tools, clients can take ownership of practices that vitalize them from the inside out.
Join us for the panel discussion on November 19th and share with your friends. Our health coach, Julie Griffiths, will be moderating the discussion.
We will be soliciting questions for discussion on our instagram page — @gingkointegrative
Follow us there!
We hope you are enjoying these glorious November fall days!
Warmly, Rachel
